Coronavirus: Bahrain registers the death of 2 more expatriates

Bahrain has announced the death of two male expatriates, a 61-year-old and a 38-year-old. Both were registered active cases of coronavirus, taking the country’s total deaths to 34.

It’s the third death in one day, the highest daily death toll.

The patients were suffering from underlying and chronic health problems. The country has been reporting more deaths in recent days.

The patients, along with all other active COVID-19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialised medical team.

The total cases in the country had reached 16,667 of which 11,487 have recovered making over 68 percent of the confirmed cases to recover from the virus. Currently, there are 5,146 active cases.

Also, there are 113 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 12 are in a critical condition.

So far the country has conducted 393,910 tests, which is among the highest when looking at the country’s population.

Expatriates are having the highest RO (R-Naught) in the country.
