Coronavirus: Oman records 811 new cases, cases near 10,000

Oman has reported 811 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), taking the total cases in the sultanate to 9,820. Most of the newly admitted cases are from foreigners, which is 496 and the rest 315 from Omanis, according to the Ministry of Health.

MOH has not reported any new death from coronavirus, keeping the total death toll in the Sultanate to 40.

219 new recoveries from coronavirus have been reported in the sultanate, increasing the number of recoveries to 2,396.

Oman announced it would end its lockdown in the Muscat province starting today, including in the capital.
