    Deputy Premier receives Pakistani Foreign Minister

    Bahrain : Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received in his office at Gudaibiyah Palace today Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to participate in the Bahraini-Pakistani Joint Committee’s works. The meeting was held in the presence of Foreign Minister Dr. Abdellatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

    The Deputy Prime Minister hailed the visit of the Pakistani Foreign Minister, describing it as a reflection of historical relations between both countries. He praised growing cooperation between the two friendly countries and common keenness to boost it in various fields.

    The meeting cast light on various regional and international issues of common concern while asserting the need for joint action to maintain regional and international security and stability.

    The Pakistani Foreign Minister expressed happiness over visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirming that holding the Bahraini-Pakistani Committee meeting reflects keenness of the two friendly countries to bolster relations and serve common interests. He also lauded the development march in the Kingdom of Bahrain under its wise leadership.

    The meeting was attended by Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Pakistani Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mohammed Ayoub and Bahraini Ambassador to the Republic of Pakistan Mohammed Ibrahim Abdulqader.
