Riyadh: Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, participated in the consultative meeting of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS), including education ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The GCC education ministers were briefed on the situation of education in Yemen, and the obstacles and challenges it is facing.
They also discussed the programmes to be implemented by ABEGS in the coming period, including workshops on the effect of the pandemic on the situation of education in the member states, the empowerment and professional development of teachers, in addition to programmes related to people with special needs, strengthening identity and values, e-learning, early childhood and student activities aimed at cementing fraternal relations among students of the member states.
