Manama: Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi patronized the 9th Students’ Forum, which was held this year remotely via video conference. Thirty-six students representing nine secondary schools, ministry’s officials and teachers took part in the virtual event, which was held this year under the slogan “Useful of Online Learning”. Addressing the seminar, Dr. Al Nuaimi extended thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for supporting the ministry during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also extended thanks to His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Education and Training. He stressed the ministry’s keenness on continuing cultural activities aimed at promoting dialogue, acceptance of others and openness on human knowledge. He underlined the ministry’s measures, in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership and the decisions of the Executive Committee to ensure sustainable learning and avert any disruption due to the pandemic. He praised King Hamad Future Schools project which, he said, laid solid foundations  which help the ministry switch to online learning quickly and resort to televised lessons and other alternatives.
