    Education Ministry sets up panel to review curricula

    Manama : A team of specialists has been assigned to conduct a comprehensive review of all curricula to verify all modifications and changes that have occurred, said the Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma.

    The panel will evaluate the extent of these changes and modifications, and take measures to address anything which would prejudice national and religious constants.

    It will also set the necessary methodological standards and measures to preserve the richness of curricula in dealing with religious constants and promoting Islamic teachings.

    The move which reflects commitment to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s approach, was undertaken in implementation of the order of   His  Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to halt any changes made to the Kingdom’s educational curricula that are not compatible with Bahrain’s national values designed to protect religion and its core pillars.

    “The specialized team has also been assigned to withdraw the textbooks included in the review process, in order to resubmit them after verifying that all the correct and necessary modifications have been completed”, said the minister.

    The minister stressed commitment to continue efforts to achieve the best academic and achievement levels, in a way that contributes to a good upbringing the quality of educational outputs and academic levels.
