Tesla founder Elon Musk is moving forward with his original offer of buying Twitter for the price of $54.20 a share, a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday showed.
The proposed deal, first reported by Bloomberg News, matches the original offer price Mr Musk made to the San Francisco-based microblogging platform in April.
“We received the letter from the Musk parties which they have filed with the SEC. The intention of the company is to close the transaction,” a statement from Twitter issued on Tuesday afternoon read.
