    Employment contracts of 32 Bahrainis signed at Bapco Tazweed

    Bahrain : The Labour and Social Development Ministry hosted the signing of employment contracts of 32 Bahrainis at Bapco Retail Company (Bapco Tazweed) in supervisory, administrative and technical positions at various petrol stations.

    The job interviews were held last December, within the second edition of the National Employment Programme.

    Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met the Acting General Manager of Bapco Tazweed, Khalid Al-Tayyar, who reviewed the company’s plans to recruit nationals. He also asserted that the Bahrainisation rate in Bapco Tazweed has reached 99%.

    On the occasion, the minister lauded Bapco Tazweed’s interest in employing nationals and increasing the Bahrainisation rate at it, noting that the company has set the example in making Bahrainis its first choice.

    He affirmed that the Labour Ministry will continue launching programmes and initiatives aimed at accelerating the pace of employment of Bahrainis at various production institutions.

    He indicated that the Labour Ministry plans to employ national job-seekers at promising sectors, within the five-pillar Economic Recovery Plan launched the Cabinet, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, including the creation of 20,000 Bahraini jobs and training of 10,000 Bahrainis annually until 2024.

    Acting General Manager of Bapco Tazweed, Khalid Al-Tayyar affirmed that based on the directives of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Board of Directors Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C. (c) (Nogaholding), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the company will continue employing Bahrainis, praising the role played by the Labour and Social Development Ministry to provide well-qualified and trained national workforce.

    He hailed the Bahraini workers’ discipline and dedication, noting that the employment of the national competencies will reflect positively on the productivity of companies, citing the positive results attained by Bapco Tazweed thanks to its reliance on nationals.
