HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports received in his office Mr Alejandro Blanco, President of Spain’s Olympic Committee in the presence of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Head of the Coordination, Execution and Follow-up Committee, Mr Mohammed Hassan Al Nusf, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Mr Abdullah Al Zain, General Manager of the Personal Office. During the meeting, HH Shaikh Nasser discussed with the Spanish official the ways of cementing bi-lateral cooperation between Bahrain and Spain in the sports sector. Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser stressed the importance of Mr. Blanco’s visit to lay down the foundation for exchanging experiences and visits as well as open more communication channels and cement the collaboration among both countries in the sports field.
HH Shaikh Nasser noted the close links among both states in the sports field, expressing his hopes to further them in a way that meets the aspirations and desires of both countries. From his side, Mr Blanco praised the exceptional efforts being produced by the Kingdom of Bahrain in sponsoring the sports movement and the resulting achievements of the Bahraini sportspeople in the international championships as well as the Kingdom’s contributions to hosting major international events, stressing the importance of developing the ties between both countries in the sports field via the organisation of mutual programmes in this sector and the exchange of sports delegations to make the best use of both states’ experiences.
