Bahrain : Fifa President Gianni Infantino mourned the passing of former Bahraini international player and coach Adnan Ayoub.
In a letter addressed to Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Chairman Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, he extended his heartfelt condolences, expressing his deep sadness.
Infantino paid homage to late Adnan Ayoub who featured in the national team in the 1966 Arab Cup and the maiden 1970 Gulf Cup, in addition to his marked career as player in Al Ahli Club.
On behalf of the international football community, the Fifa boss extended deepest condolences to Bahrain Football Association (BFA) and the deceased’s family, friends and fans.
