New York : The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, met today the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga, Hu’akavemeiliku Siaosi Sovaleni, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UNGA.
They discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation in various fields, in addition to discussing the latest developments on the regional and international arenas. A joint statement was signed to establish diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Jamal Faris Al-Ruwaie, and the delegation accompanying the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
