    Foreign Minister meets with ICRC President

    New York : Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, met today at the headquarters of the Mission of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), HE Peter Maurer, on the sidelines of the seventy-sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly.

    During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the tireless efforts of ICRC to help the afflicted people in the world in various emergency and disaster situations. They emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and ICRC in supporting the people of the world who are affected by crises and disasters in various humanitarian circumstances.

    They also reviewed global emergencies at the present time, the efforts being made to deliver humanitarian and relief aid to those in need, and promote the role of health diplomacy.
