Dubai : Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, inaugurated Bahrain’s Consulate General in Dubai, in the presence of the Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa Shaheen Almarar.
The inauguration was on the occasion of the visit of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to Dubai to attend the National Day activities at the Kingdom’s pavilion (Expo Dubai 2020),
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Arab Emirates, Ambassador Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Dubai, Ambassador Saud Hassan Al-Nusuf, and a number of ambassadors and consuls of brotherly and friendly countries accredited to the United Arab Emirates.
Dr Al Zayani unveiled the commemorative plaque, then toured the consulate, and was briefed on the facilities included in the Consulate General.
He delivered a speech in which he expressed great pride and appreciation for the depth of the close relations between Bahrain and the UAE.
He underlined solid fraternal solidarity cooperation across all fields, under the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He said he was pleased by the opening of the Consulate General of Bahrain in Dubai, on the occasion of the official visit of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to the brotherly United Arab Emirates.
He expressed his aspiration that the opening of this consulate would be a distinguished step in promoting joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and that it would contribute through its diplomatic efforts to serving the interests of Bahraini citizens residing in the UAE, and to promote the Kingdom’s relations with brotherly and friendly countries.
The Minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for the support, interest and comprehensive care provided by the Government of Dubai to facilitate the opening of this consulate.
He noted the constructive cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the Embassy of Bahrain in Abu Dhabi and its continuous support.
He wished the Consul General and the consular staff success in performing the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to them in a manner that serves the interests of the Kingdom and its citizens, and promotes brotherly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
