    Foreign Minister receives US Congress delegation

    Bahrain : Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, received today a delegation of US Congress employees, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

    He welcomed the delegation and pointed to the importance of such meetings to exchange opinions and viewpoints, develop the historical relations between the two friendly countries and enhance coordination and mutual cooperation in areas of common interest.

    The Minister of Foreign Affairs praised the vital role played by the United States to promote security, peace and stability in the region and the world.

    The two sides discussed the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in achieving sustainable development, protecting human rights, supporting efforts to maintain security, stability and peace in the region and promoting the valuesof tolerance and peaceful coexistence. They also reviewed a number of issues of common interest.

    The meeting was attended by Chief of American Affairs, HE Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Chief of Human Rights, HE Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al-Sayed.
