    Four houses of worship opened

    Bahrain :  The “Al Rasool Al A’adham” Mosque in Isa Town was opened today after the completion of its comprehensive maintenance works.

    The move is in line with the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to immediately launch a development plan for mosques across the Kingdom’s governorates, inaugurate and restore 20 mosques belonging to the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments, located across different governorates of the Kingdom, as well as to allocate sites and expedite the design and construction of 12 mosques in Salman Town.

    Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, opened the mosque, in the presence of several Jaffari Endowments Council members, and officials.

    The minister highlighted the increase in projects to construct houses of worship, under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s comprehensive development march, and thanks to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s follow-up.

    In a related context, Jaffari Endowments Council Chairman, Yousif bin Saleh Al-Saleh, opened the “Al-Thumun” Mosque in Jurdab after the completion of maintenance works there.

    Jaffari Endowments Council Chairman and members praised the great support enjoyed by various houses of worship in the kingdom thanks to the leadership of HM the King and the follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on efforts to meet the needs of the citizens regarding religious services.

    Al-Saleh commended HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s order to launch a development plan for mosques, noting that it reflects HM the King’s constant care for houses of worship.

    On the other hand, the Jaffari Endowments Directorate announced the completion of the maintenance works at the following houses of worship, namely “Sayeda Khadija” Mosque in Hamad Town, and “Al-Duraz Al-Kabeer” in Duraz.

    They all extended deepest congratulations to HM King Hamad, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Members of the Royal Family and the citizens, as well as the Arab and Islamic Nations on Eid Al-Fitr, wishing them many happy returns.
