Manama : Bharanatyam is an Indian classical dance form. The practice of this dance form in Bahrain is very much prevalent. One of the institutions which promote this dance form in Bahrain is the Dynamic Art Center. Under the tutelage of Nritya KalaRatna Guru Smt. Hansul Gani, this institution regularly sends their pupils for Arangatram, which is a de facto graduation in this art form. It is only when the Guru feels that a student is ready to perform the Arangatram, that he/she is allowed to take the stage.
This year six students will be graduating in a performance which will be held at the Indian School Bahrain on 12th May, 2023 from 6:30 PM. The students who will be performing the Arangatram are :
Gopikha Bharathirajan
•Kaashvi Shree Sivamurugan
•Naureen Hikmat
•Pavithra Muthuvel
•Saanvi Bakshi
•Shruthika Senthilnathan
All these students have been painstakingly developing themselves and practicing this art form for no less than 7 years. The Chief guest of the program will be Mrs. Noora Jamsheer.
The itinerary in the program will include group dances by the students of the academy including the Arangatram students and solo performances by the Arangatram students. This will be a culmination of the years of hardwork and dedication for the Arangatram candidates. The students seek the blessings from the Almighty and all elders at this very important transition point of their life.
