    Head of Bahrain’s delegation to Tokyo 2020 meets Saudi counterpart

    Tokyo: Deputy President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Head of Bahrain’s delegation to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has lauded the strides made by Saudi Arabia in the sports field thanks to the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abduaziz Al Saud, and interest of Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

    HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali made the statements while meeting here today the Saudi Sports Minister, President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and Head of the Saudi delegation to Tokyo Games, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal.

    HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali conveyed greetings from HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, General Sports Authority Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki.

    HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali lauded the depth of the strong relations between the two kingdoms’ leaderships, governments and peoples, praising Saudi Arabia’s landmark sports achievements, citing its designation as a host country of the Asian Games 2034.

    He was also informed about the Saudi delegation’s participation in Tokyo 2020, and briefed about Saudi Arabia’s experience in supporting sports clubs and athletes.

    HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali exchanged souvenir gifts with Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, wishing Saudi Arabia every success in the current Olympic Games.
