Tokyo : Undersecretary of the Cabinet Affairs Ministry, Deputy President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Head of Bahrain’s delegation to the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, has met here Japan’s Administrative Reform Minister, Taro Kono, who is in charge of the coronavirus vaccine rollout, on the sidelines of the 32nd Olympics, currently hosted by Japan.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Minister Taro Kono, lauding the solid cooperation and friendship relations between Bahrain and Japan.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali also conveyed greetings from HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and those of the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and BOC President, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to the Japanese minister.
He lauded Japan’s outstanding organisation of the 32nd Olympic Games, praising its cooperation with the International Olympic Committee to ensure the success of the event.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali stressed the importance of enhancing the Bahraini-Japanese relations in order to serve the two friendly countries’ interests, wishing Japan continued progress and prosperity.
The Japanese minister welcomed HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali, and wished him a happy stay in Japan. He also wished Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
