Manama: Health Minister, Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, has affirmed the major role played by the Bahrain Pharmacists Society, as an active partner of the Health Ministry, in enhancing the quality and efficiency of services provided by the health sector, especially regarding its keenness to develop the profession of pharmacist and qualify specialised competencies.
The minister was speaking while she received here today, in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr. Mariam Al-Hajri, Bahrain Pharmacists Society’s Board of Directors’ Chairperson, Rehab Al-Noaimi, and members.
The minister discussed with the delegation ways to enhance cooperation between the Health Ministry and the Bahrain Pharmacists Society, especially in training and qualifying specialized Bahraini cadres, particularly in the field of pharmaceutical industries.
Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan indicated the Health Ministry’s keenness to train and qualify national cadres, noting that through the Bahrain Council for Health Studies and Specialties studies, the needs for training and scholarships are studied, and coordination with health authorities is made to ensure the availability of qualified cadres who meet the needs of the Kingdom in light of the application of Health Insurance System.
The minister welcomed the initiatives launched by the Bahrain Pharmacists Society, citing the pharmacists’ conference in February 2023, affirming the Health Ministry’s support for such events.
Rehab Al-Noaimi praised the major role played by the Health Ministry to develop health services in the kingdom, highlighting its support for the Bahrain Pharmacists Society.
She indicated that the Bahrain Pharmacists Society is keen to continue its efforts to enhance the health services in all health facilities.
