Bahrain : Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) board has today convened for its first meeting for the new three-year term (2021-2024).
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and BOC President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa chaired the meeting at Al Wadi Place in Riffa.
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa welcomed the new members and congratulated them on their election uncontested, stressing the importance of continuing efforts and building on achievements.
He also praised the outgoing BOC board for their key role which earned Bahrain sports successes and outstanding achievements.
The panel decided to elect HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa as BOC Vice President and appoint Shaikh Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa as board member.
It has also appointed Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji as secretary-general while Mohammed Hassan Al Nusuf will take over as BOC President’s Advisor.
