Manama: Personal Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has dedicated the historic win achieved by filly ‘Daahyeh’ at the Royal Ascot race to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. 
HH Shaikh Nasser asserted that the filly’s success in clinching the first place at the prestigious Royal Ascot 2019 is the fruitful outcome of HM the King’s interest in the equestrian sport.HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the historic victory adds to the landmark achievements attained by the equestrian sport in Bahrain thanks to HM King Hamad’s unwavering interest.
HH Shaikh Nasser expressed deep pride in the great support of HM the King, the first knight in the kingdom, to the equestrian sport, noting that the Royal Ascot race is among the most important in the world and attracts horse-racing fans from all over the world.
HH Shaikh Nasser also extended thanks to the UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, for his support to him throughout the race, which, he said, has helped him to attain the historic victory.
Owned by HH Shaikh Nasser, ridden by jockey David Egan and trained by Roger Varian’, Daahyeh clinched the first place in a 1200-metre race held today at the prestigious Royal Ascot Racecourse in the UK, in which 25 jockeys participated.
