Bahrain : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister has deputised His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for the Environment, to attend the closing ceremony of the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain which was hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Present at the event were His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
The closing ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies and a number of ministers.
On this occasion, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and pride at the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for this global event, adding that His Royal Highness’ support contributed to achieving all the goals of the championship, at the foremost of which shedding light on the achievements made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the success made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in hosting the event confirms the professional capabilities of the Kingdom of Bahrain in organising major events and helping in delivering the goals of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated the winners of the event.
The closing ceremony witnessed the honouring of the first-place winners in various categories, and the ministries, institutions and bodies contributing to the organisation of the Championship.
