Manama : Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, extended most sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister on success of the sixth edition of Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2022).
The Minister of Finance and National Economy lauded the amazing success of BIAS 2022, which marked its tenth anniversary this year. He stressed the importance of the event as an opportunity to exchange experiences in the aviation sector. He said that the fair had won international appreciation and placed Bahrain on the map of investment in the aviation sector, in light of the directives of Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the High Organising Committee, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The minister also praised joint cooperation between all relevant parties which led to the success of BIAS 2022 and the achievement of its goals. He added that the success of the show since its launch ten years ago has contributed to fast-tracking economic growth and attracting investments. He affirmed the kingdom’s appreciation of the fraternal visit of the UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Sakhir Air Base, which embodied strong ties binding the two brotherly countries.
The Minister of Finance and National Economy described BIAS as a milestone and a significant event for the aviation sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, given its role in attracting investments and concluding deals.
The minister expressed pride in holding BIAS 2022 in conjunction with choosing Bahrain International Airport as the best new airport in the world this year and granting the airport exit the highest rating in the Airport Services Quality Report issued by the Airports Council International in the category “Assistance and Cooperation in Passenger Service”. He pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain writes, day after day, outstanding success stories with the will and determination of the Bahrain team and the good efforts of the national cadres.
