Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Jordan’s Prime Minister and Defence Minister, Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and his accompanying delegation, at the Al-Safriya Palace.
The Jordanian high-profile delegation is on a visit to the kingdom to participate in the fifth Bahrain-Jordan Joint Higher Committee meeting, co-chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Jordan’s Prime Minister and Defence Minister.
HM the King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and National Security Advisor, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, were also present.
Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh conveyed to HM King Hamad greetings and appreciation from His Majesty King Abdulla II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan, as well as HM’s sincere wishes for further progress and prosperity to Bahrain, under HM the King’s leadership.
HM the King welcomed the Jordanian Prime Minister and Defence Minister, and requested him to convey HM’s greetings to HM King Abdulla II, and wishes for continuous progress and prosperity to the brotherly Jordanian people.
HM King Hamad welcomed the fruitful outcomes of the Bahrain-Jordan Joint Higher Committee meeting during which a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to bolster bilateral cooperation in the economic, commercial, industrial, health and educational, as well as maritime and air transport fields.
HM the King expressed pride in the deep-rooted solid relations between the two kingdoms and their brotherly peoples, noting that he is always looking forward to constantly pushing bilateral cooperation and joint action forward to serve common interests and achieve shared goals.
HM King Hamad valued highly the efforts exerted by HM King Abdulla II to consolidate the brotherly Bahraini-Jordanian relations, praising Jordan’s authentic and honourable stances towards Bahrain.
HM the King also lauded Jordan’s pivotal role in defending the causes of the Arab Nation, especially the Palestinian cause, as well as in strengthening joint Arab action, and supporting efforts to establish peace, security and stability in the Middle East region.
HM King Hamad and Jordan’s Prime Minister and Defence Minister also discussed the latest regional, Arab and global developments, and exchanged viewpoints vis-à-vis a number of issues of mutual concern.
The Jordanian Prime Minister and Defence Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him and his accompanying delegation.
He expressed pride in the pioneering role played by HM King Hamad to strengthen the distinguished bilateral cooperation, as well as expand areas of joint cooperation and coordination.
