    HM King’s statement on Ashoora season conclusion praised by Public Security Chief

    Manama : Chief of Public Security, Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, has expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his statement marking the conclusion of this year’s Ashoora season.

    He hailed the national values and humanitarian principles embedded in the royal statement, noting that they prove Bahrain’s status as a civilised country that respects religious freedoms and pluralism.

    He valued the support of HM the King and follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the success of Ashoora season.

    He said that the security efforts during the season were part of a national system, valuing the Interior Minister’s directives and follow up to meet all security requirements. Furthermore, the security services were based on community partnership.

    The Chief highlighted the cooperation between official and civic parties, including scholars, managers, and visitors of Mattams (Community Centres), to meet precautionary measures against COVID-19.

    He said that the season was marked within extraordinary global health conditions created by the coronavirus outbreak. Therefore, commitment to precautionary measures was essential to ensuring the public’s safety.

    He attributed the success of the season to cooperation and coordination between concerned bodies and community partnership.
