Bahrain : The Supreme Council for Health (SCH) has today convened for its regular meeting which was held remotely via video conference.
The session was chaired by SCH President, head of the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19 Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the session.
On behalf of the taskforce and health professionals, the SCH president extended deepest thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on honouring frontliners and conferring on them Prince Salman bin Hamad Medals of Medical Merit.
He hailed royal support to national efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He also expressed deepest thanks to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hailing his support to health development projects and keenness on promoting medical services.
The council followed up on the decision to dispense narcotics and psychotropic substances for a period of one month, based on an approved prescription, in line with the edict issued by the Minister of Health.
It discussed the endorsement of regulatory controls for the practice of private medicine within government hospitals, instructing the Board of Trustees of Governmental Hospitals to submit a proposal to the next meeting. Other issues on the meeting agenda were also discussed.
