Manama : Hope Fund was named the best supporting organisation of youth in Bahrain during the 36th meeting of GCC Youth and Sports Ministers, hosted in Oman.
The fund was recognised for its efforts to support and empower Bahraini youth’s initiatives.
Fajer Saleh Al Pachachi, Hope Fund General Manager, was honoured during the meeting by Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court in Oman, alongside Tamkeen and other honourees from the GCC.
Hope Fund thanked His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs for his directives and support which resulted in this achievement.
Hope Ventures and Hope Talents are the investment and talent arms of the fund, chaired by Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al Moayyed.
One of the initiatives powered by the fund is Beban, a reality television show in which entrepreneurs pitch to regional investors for immediate investment offers and strategic business opportunities. The first and second seasons of the show made a total of USD6m in investments.
Beban Crowdfunding, licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain, is another initiative providing a platform that connects promising entrepreneurs with investors who want to empower their businesses.
Hope Ventures is currently working on opening the biggest coworking space in Bahrain to support young entrepreneurs and startups.
