British MMA pioneer and combat sports star Paul Daley was just one of many VIP guests at the historic BRAVE 24: London event, which shook up the mixed martial arts world by connecting the sport to the highest level of personalities from around the world. Daley was full of praise for the event, but left with one certain thought: Bahrain’s Hussain Ayyad will be a star. Daley was impressed with Ayyad’s performance, as “Iron” only needed a few minutes to submit Mitchell Johnson in the first round of their BRAVE 24 bout, which opened the highly-anticipated fight card last Thursday.
“When I was invited to BRAVE 24, I started watching the guys on the card because I love MMA and want to know some of these guys. I was already impressed with Hussain, and one of my teammates talked to me about him too, so I came in early to catch him in action. I was not disappointed, as he just walked through a very tough Mitchell Johnson. I think he will be a star, and I know the whole Kingdom of Bahrain is already proud of him. Bahrain needs to support him because he can become a superstar, I’ll tell you that right now”, said Daley before meeting Ayyad himself for a picture.
Meanwhile, Hussain was very proud of his performance and called Daley one of his heroes. He couldn’t believe it when he heard that “Semtex” had high hopes for him. “He said that? Wow, that is awesome. I train really hard and it’s great to reap the rewards of my hard work. I couldn’t do this without the support of KHK MMA, my head coach Eldar Eldarov and the support of BRAVE CF and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa”.
