    ICRF concludes Mega Medical Camp 2021-22 Inbox

    The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) concluded its Mega Medical Camp 2021-22 program which was started in September 2021.  Commemorating 75 years of Indian Independence, ICRF organized many medical camps in association with various hospitals and medical centers.

    The finale ceremony was held at the Al Namal group’s labour camp near Asker on Thursday, 24 November 2022.  Nearly 750 workers underwent medical checkup and attended doctor consultation.

    Chief Guest of the event was HE Sri Piyush Srivastava – Indian Ambassador to Bahrain and Mr Ashraf Emam – Dy. CEO Resources and Service Sector at LMRA,  Mr Ravi Shanker Shukla – Second Secretary at Embassy of India, Mr Varghese Kurian – Chairman of VKL Holdings & Al Namal Group,  Jeeben Varghese – Director of Middle East Hospital, VKL Holdings & Al Namal Group, Vishakh Varghese – Director VKL Holdings, Mr K G Baburajan – Chairman of QEL – BKL Holding, Dr Remya Baburaj, ICRF Chairman Dr Babu Ramachandran, Vice Chairman Adv V K Thomas,  General Secretary Pankaj Nallur, Joint Secretaries Aneesh Sreedharan and Mrs Nisha Rangarajan, Mega Medical Camp General Coordinator Murali Krishnan, Prasad – Middle East Hospital Group Business Development Manager and Mega Medical Camp current month coordinator Chemban Jalal were present during the event.

    “The mega medical camp was a grand success.  We organized medical camps at various medical facilities and including this finale event we touched upon nearly 2500 labourers from various labour camps.  We did screen checks which was followed by doctor consulting for all and did specialist consultancy to the needy workers” said Dr Babu Ramachandran, Chairman of ICRF.

    During the event, ICRF felicitated the program’s main sponsor Al Namal Group/VKL Group which extended help through Middle East Hospital for medical check-ups as well as provided food packets to all participating workers during the year.

    ICRF also felicitated Annual sponsor of the event LMRA, which provided Covid Awareness Campaign material (facemasks, antibacterial soaps etc) for all the workers.  ICRF has been working very closely with LMRA Team for the past many years we sincerely appreciate the efforts of LMRA in supporting us in this program.

    Mega Medical Camp Co-sponsor BKG Holding – QEL was felicitated during the event for their support to the program.

    Medical facilities supported this Mega Medical Camp 2021-22 such as Middle East Hospital, Al Hilal Hospital, Kims Health, Shifa Al Jazeera, Dar Al Shifa Medical Centre, Aster Medical Centre American Mission Hospital and Al Amal Hospital were also honoured during the event.

    ICRF members John Philip, Subair Kannur, Suresh Babu, Sunil Kumar, Spandana Kishore, Florine Mathias, Murli Nomula, Clifford Correa, Pavithran Neeleswaram, Hemlatha Singh, Deepshika Saraogi, Rajeevan, Sivakumar, Javad Pasha, Shahid Jalal, Subas Chandra Sahoo, Reyna Clifford, Sayed Haneef, Hari, Noushad and Sunil Pashara were part of organizing this event.

    As part of the program all the workers were provided with dinner packets as well as gift hampers.
