The Indian Community Relief Fund (“ICRF”) Thirst-Quenchers 2021 team continue to distribute bottled water, fruits and sweets to the workers. Today’s distribution was held at a work site in Riffa area for around 80 workers. This is the 11th week and the program is supported by Bohra community in Bahrain. They also provided a well packed Biriyani (lunch) in steel carriage to all the workers today.
Additionally, ICRF volunteers have distributed reusable face masks, anti-bacterial soaps along with flyers that explain the measures that can be followed to stay safe during COVID-19 as well as flyers on mental well being.
The basic purpose of such activity is to teach workers the importance of drinking water and encourage them on how to be healthy during the summer.
ICRF Thirst-Quenchers intends to continue this for few more weeks in various worksites as they are one of the most affected toiling under the summer heat.
The event was organised following COVID-19 protocol and attended by ICRF Chairman Dr Babu Ramachandran, Advisor Aruldas Thomas, ICRF Volunteers Muralikrishnan, Raman Preet, Zulfikar Ali and Pankaj Malik, Murli Nomula, Hari Babu.
