Isinailalim na sa “state of calamity” ang probinsya ng Ilocos Norte buhat ng hagupit ng Typhoon Egay, bagay na dahilan ng Signal no. 4 sa ilang bahagi ng bansa.

Sa ilalim ng state of calamity, agad na nagpapatupad ng “price ceiling” sa mga basic necessities at prime commodities, pag-grant ng no-interest loans, atbp. alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 10121.

“The Province of Ilocos Norte has been declared under a ‘State of Calamity’ following the devastating impact of Super Typhoon ‘Egay,'” wika ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Ilocos Norte, Miyerkules.

“The typhoon brought heavy rain, strong winds, and severe floods that caused massive damages to properties, agricultural crops, and disruption of means of livelihood in different areas of the Province.”

“Efforts to assess the full extent of the damage and provide necessary aid and relief to affected communities are underway,” dagdag ng Ilocos Norte provincial government.

“The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte and national government agencies are working tirelessly to restore essential services, address immediate needs, and provide support to those affected by the disaster.”
