    Industry Minister praises commercial sector’s contributions to national economy

    Bahrain : Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, has affirmed that the commercial sector has been, and still is, the main partner in supporting economic growth in the kingdom, noting that the recent measures taken by the Ministry will boost the sector and reflect positively on the economic situation and investments in Bahrain.

    The minister was speaking as he patronised the official opening of the Al Muntazah Markets’ branch in the Al Baraha Market Complex in Diyar Al Muharraq, in the presence of the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abdulla Nass, Board of Directors Chairman of Al Meer Group, Abdul Moneim Jalal Al Meer, and CEO of the Kuwait Finance House- Bahrain, Abdulhakeem Al-Khayyat.

    Al-Zayani toured the 1400-square-metre branch, and was briefed about the Group’s strategy to develop its markets. He expressed delight at the advanced level of the new branch, praising the role played by the Al-Meer Group to boost economic development in the kingdom and meet the expectations of customers since its establishment.

    Abdul Moneim Al-Meer commended the efforts of the government to develop all economic sectors in the kingdom, affirming Al-Muntazah Markets’ interest in local products.
