Bahrain : Minister of Information, Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi, the Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD), voiced Bahrain’s welcome and appreciation of the auspicious visit of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In a statement to Okaz newspaper, Al Romaihi expressed the Bahraini people’s pride in the blessed fraternal visit of the Saudi Crown Prince and his accompanying delegation. He stressed its importance in further enhancing historical relations between the two brotherly countries. He described bilateral relations as a model to emulate in solidarity and strategic partnership, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He praised the positive results of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council since its establishment under the presidency of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He affirmed the importance of the council in boosting integration.
The Minister of Information underscored Bahrain’s appreciation of solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He commended the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in protecting the Gulf and Arab national security, promoting peace and prosperity and serving Islamic issues. He pointed out support of the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the Arab and Islamic world to the measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to protect its security and stability and deter terrorism and extremism. He lauded Saudi Arabia’s honorable sacrifices in leading the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen and working out a comprehensive solution to the crisis. He also commended the kingdom’s humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), pointing out the role of Saudi Arabia in confronting the hostile operations of the terrorist Houthi militias.
The Minister of Information added that the world views with great appreciation and admiration the ambitious development and reform initiatives of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which have consolidated the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the world map. He also stressed Bahrain’s keenness on boosting its economic relations with Saudi Arabia, its biggest economic and commercial partner. He pointed out the increase in non-oil commercial exchange between both countries and the establishment of many joint investment, financial and commercial projects. He asserted that the establishment of King Hamad Causeway will represent a boost to economic partnership.
The Minister of Information pointed out both countries’ interest in enhancing media cooperation and promoting the role of the sector in fostering tolerance and peaceful coexistence, fighting terrorism and extremism, bolstering sustainable growth and supporting Arab and Islamic issues.
