Bahrain : Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, today held a meeting with governors and directors-general of police directorates.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Public Security, Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, CEO of eGovernment Authority, Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary, President of Customs and Head of the National Cybersecurity Centre.
The meeting was held to mark the success of the Ashoora season because of the commitment to precautionary measures of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Interior Minister welcomed the attendees. He expressed thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for supporting the season. He also hailed the government’s support led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HRH’s distinguished leadership to the Team Bahrain and role in achieving remarkable accomplishments.
The Interior Minister thanked governors for their ongoing interaction and fieldwork to eliminate obstacles. Furthermore, he expressed appreciation to security personnel, officers, commissioned officers and other ranks for their professionalism and dedication among frontliners to fight the pandemic through creative and proactive procedures, in addition to the awareness role that contributed to enhancing awareness and sense of national responsibility in the community.
He valued the commitments of heads, managers and visitors of Maatams (Community Centres) and the members of Hussainiya Processions Authority, along with the Taskforce’s precautionary medical procedures to promote community partnership in serving society.
The Interior Minister highlighted the importance of benefiting from learnt lessons. He noted that the achieved advanced security level requires the continuation of development and modernisation and the evaluation of performance to reinforce accomplishments to achieve more services in facing challenges. He wished them the best in serving the nation.
