Manama : Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, has expressed thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for supporting the Ashoora season, which contributed to the success of this year’s season.
HM the King’s support reflects the royal interest in the safety of citizens, the minister said.
He highly valued highly HM the King’s statement marking the conclusion of the Ashoora season, noting that it humanitarian principles and the characteristics of Bahrain with its cohesive, peaceful, harmonious and coexisting social fabric.
The minister highlighted the noble values and national principles expressed by HM the King, reflecting his close bonds with citizens in various areas, conditions, and occasions.
He also hailed the support of government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hailing HRH’s prominent role in leading the Team Bahrain, resulting in the successful efforts of the National Medical Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19), and its internationally-praised accomplishments.
The Interior Minister also expressed appreciation for scholars for their awareness-raising roles. He valued the commitment and cooperation of the heads, organisers, and visitors of Mattams (Community Centres), along with the Hussainiya Processions Authority members. He praised the role of the National Medical Taskforce in setting precautionary procedures to protect the health and safety of people.
He hailed the role of governors and their ongoing interactions and fieldwork to eliminate obstacles and the efforts of the joint field team to supervise the commitment of preventive measures.
The Interior Minister thanked security personnel, officers, commissioned officers, and other ranks for their distinguished performance and professionalism, along with social awareness and sense of responsibility of citizens for the civilised and successful Ashoora season within the framework of ensuring stability security, and safety in performing rituals.
