Manama : Students and staff at the Indian School, Riffa Campus held week-long celebrations of the International Yoga Day.  The programme was spearheaded by Indian Embassy Culture Teacher  Rudresh Kumar Singh in the presence of Principal Pamela Xavier.  He said that Yoga is a    group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices   which originated in ancient India.  Special assemblies were organised   to commemorate the occasion.  The practice of Yoga will bring a positive change in mood and attitude, increased energy levels and the ability to focus on what is required by setting aside distracting thoughts in a student, he said.  Yoga sessions were held in all the classrooms. Having geared for the days with dress code, mats and mind students enjoyed the specially tailored breathing exercises and tips for a healthier mind and body. The students were thrilled with the wonderful rejuvenating experience. The little ones were  enthusiastic while breathing their way to an energising mind and body.   The Indian School extended  sincere gratitude to the Indian Embassy and  Yoga expert  Rudresh Kumar Singh for their support and guidance in  reaching out to the students.
