Afghan: Kabul-Delhi Air India flight (AI-244) — which landed in the war-torn country on Sunday to evacuate stranded Indians — landed in Delhi around 7.45pm. The flight left Kabul with around 129 passengers.
According to reports, the aircraft apparently hovered for an hour before it could get the clearance to land. An Emirate flight, too, was hovering at 28,000 feet, awaiting clearance to land.
Sources mentioned that there was an aircraft disabled on the runway, which caused the delay in landing.
