Manama : General Sports Authority (GSA) Deputy Chairman His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa attended today the conclusion of the 14th edition of the King Hamad International Golf Trophy.
Forty professional and amateur players from 20 countries took part in the tournament, which was organized by Bahrain Golf Association on November24-26.
The closing ceremony which was held at the Royal Golf Club courses, was also attended by GSA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, BGA Chairman Major Chairman Ali bin Saqr Alnoaimi.
Batelco General Manager of Corporate Communication and Sustainability Shaikh Bader bin Rashid Al Khalifa, the official sponsor of the tournament, and a number of officials and representatives of the companies supporting the tournament and heads of delegations were also present.
HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their support to sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He also praised the efforts of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and SCYS Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. .
