Coronavirus: Kuwait confirms 614 new cases, mostly among citizens

Kuwait has reported 614 new coronavirus cases, of which 378 are citizens, taking the total confirmed cases in the country to 55,508, according to the health ministry.

3 patients died of the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 393.

Kuwait has the world’s 34th highest number of coronavirus infections just over UAE.

Meanwhile, 746 new recoveries have been reported in the country, raising the total recoveries to 45,356.

Kuwait has done 4,086 NP swab tests in the past 24 hours, as the country ramps up its efforts to test more people and detect cases early.

So far, the country has conducted a total of 437,422 coronavirus tests.
