Kuwait registers 703 new coronavirus cases, three deaths

Kuwait has reported 703 new coronavirus cases, of which 434 are citizens, taking the total confirmed cases in the country to 56,877, according to the health ministry.

3 patients died of the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 399.

Kuwait has the world’s 34th highest number of coronavirus infections just over Ukraine.

Meanwhile, 736 new recoveries have been reported in the country, raising the total recoveries to 46,897.

Kuwait has done 4,041 NP swab tests in the past 24 hours, as the country ramps up its efforts to test more people and detect cases early.

So far, the country has conducted a total of 445,184 coronavirus tests.
