Bahrain: A conference will be held in October under the theme “Soial Dialogue in times of Crises”, in cooperation with the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
The General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (GFBTU) will hold the event under the patronage of Labour and Social and Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan.
The minister received GFBTU Secretary-General Abdul Qader Al Shehabi and his deputy Hassan Abdulla Al Halwaji and discussed labour issues and efforts to promote tripartite dialogue.
They also discussed the implementation of recent legislations, mainlung decree-law 21 of 2021 on regulating the labour market and the decree 16 of 2021 on prohibiting wage discrimination.
The conference will highlight the detrimental impact of the pandemic on the labour market and efforts to mitigate its repercussions on economic an social stability and jobs.
