    LMRA attends IOM remote session

    Bahrain :  Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Officer Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi led Bahrain’s delegation to attend remotely the 112th session of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

    United Nations Secretary-General and IOM director-general attended the virtual session. The LMRA delegation participated in the meetings to further consolidate Bahrain’s role in combating human trafficking, contribute to international partnership coordinate efforts to tackle issues related migrant workers.

    The meetings which are held from November 29 until December 1 in Geneva, Switzerland, coincide with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The session will discuss key issues, including the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on borders and mobility and future plans to combat human trafficking and protect victims.
