Bahrain : Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa underscored the importance of upcoming initiatives aim at supporting Bahrain’s recovery, stressing major priority development projects which were unveiled today.
He shed light on the economic recovery plan which followed directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and which were announced by the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In a press statement, he said that the recovery roadmap aims to support the economy and create job through partnership with the private sector and the legislative branch of government.
He pointed out that the announced projects will take place in different stages, adding that each project has its own time plan and economic feasibility.
He said that the planned towns which were announced today would be residential, logistic, tourist and industrial hubs, adding that the necessary standards were taken into account when planning them to preserve the environment and the wildlife and marine life.
“A large part of the economic recovery plan is related to facilitating the procedures and regulations for investment”, he said, stating that the required amendments will be done in cooperation with the legislative branch as an essential partner.
The minister said that the projects unveiled today reflect Bahrain’s resolve to move forward and achieve the goals of the economic recovery plan through teamwork.
