Manama: The national organising committee of the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and its related meetings, chaired by the First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, today held a meeting with the National Communication Centre (NCC)’s Chief Executive Officer, Yousif Al-Binkhalil, and a number of its representatives, in the presence of the panel’s media team.

The two sides discussed the detailed plan for media coverage of the Kingdom’s hosting of the largest international parliamentary gathering on March 11-15.

During the meeting, Jamal Fakhro affirmed the committee’s keenness to coordinate with various media agencies and institutions, to highlight this significant global parliamentary event, and ensure comprehensive and distinguished media coverage.

He praised NCC’s tremendous and continuous efforts to project images of success and excellence of Bahrain in a way that reflects its status and sustainable progress in various fields, locally and internationally.

NCC chief reviewed the media work mechanisms within the established detailed plan, affirming that all NCC’s capabilities will be harnessed to highlight the 146th IPU Assembly and related meetings, to ensure that they are covered in a manner that would reflect Bahrain’s excellence and openness, as well as its political and democratic development, in addition to the high level reached by its parliamentary diplomacy, which will support kingdom’s ongoing comprehensive development process.
