The most coveted trophy in amateur martial arts will be available for viewing on March 31st, as fans will get a glimpse of the MMA Super Cup Trophy which was earned by Team Bahrain earlier in the month.
Fans will have the opportunity to pose with the trophy at the Wyndham Garden Manama, in Juffair,which served as the host hotel for the competition. The tour will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Created by KHK Sports and organized in association with BRAVE CF, IMMAF (International MMA Federation) and BMMAF (Bahrain MMA Federation), under the vision of His Highness Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the MMA Super Cup promoted its first edition during the BRAVE International Combat Week.
Eight of the top nations in amateur MMA fought in elimination rounds with Team Bahrain going all the way and winning the trophy by beating Team Ireland in the final. This followed wins in earlier rounds against Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, as Bahrain showcased once again why they are the number one team in the world of amateur MMA, the only national team to achieve such a feat in any sport.
The winning federation (Bahrain) earned US$100,000 to be reinvested in the development of the sport, with the runner-ups winning US$75,000 (Ireland), and the third-placed team taking home a sum of US$50,000 (Kazakhstan).
