    Morocco reports 4,661 COVID-19 cases; 115 deaths

    Rabat – Morocco recorded 4,661 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, while 7,641 COVID-19 patients have recovered within the same period of time, the ministry of Health said.

    The number of people who received the first COVID-19 vaccine dose has reached 17,288,054 while 12,911,722 people are now fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd doses), the ministry pointed out in its daily COVID-19 bulletin.

    The new figure brings to 810,949 the total number of cases since the first case was reported in Morocco back in March 2020. The number of people who have recovered rose to 724,545, i.e. a recovery rate of 89.3%.

    The number of active cases stands at 74,612 while that of severe or critical cases has reached 2,467, the ministry added.
