Concerning audio on social media of a woman, accusing police personnel of violating the legal procedures while arresting her son, the Director-General of Northern Governorate Police said on Monday that the department carried its legal arrest procedures, after obtaining an arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution.
He said that the warrant was for a 17 years old individual who is wanted in two theft cases and was before held at the Juveniles Care Centre over robbery cases.
The Director-General said that during the arrest, his mother, 53, who had verbal abuse and fight cases filed against her and his brother, 20, physically attacked and verbally abused policemen and assisted the suspect to flee the scene.
Legal proceedings were taken against them, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
