Bahrain : Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information at the Ministry of Municipalities’ Affairs and Agriculture, Mohammed Adel Abu Hassan, has announced that the candidacy fees for municipal elections and the insurance on electoral advertisements and headquarters may be paid during official working hours at the premises of the Muharraq Municipality, the Northern Area Municipality’s building in A’ali, Hamad Town and Budaiya , in addition to the building of the Southern Area Municipality, as of Sunday, October 2.

He added that those wishing to run for municipal elections may pay their candidacy fees and insurance amounts at the Al-Hidaya Al-Khalifiya Secondary Boys School in Muharraq, Yathreb Intermediate Girls’ School in the Northern Governorate and Al-Mustaqbal Primary Girls’ School in the Southern Governorate between October 5 and 9, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

It is worth noting that the candidacy fee for the municipal elections, which is BD 50, is non-refundable, but the insurance amount for electoral advertisements and headquarters, which is BD 100, will be refunded once the electoral advertisements and headquarters are removed after the completion of the electoral campaigns.
