Manama: President of the National Audit Office (NAO), Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received here today a delegation from the Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI), led by Chairperson, Sridhar Seethapathy.They discussed the latest developments and initiatives on updating accounting practices and keeping pace with developments related to the digital revolution in this sector.They also reviewed the role played by BCICAI to train accounting competencies and develop their skills to cope with the requirements and developments of the local and global economies.The two sides stressed the need to expand cooperation between NAO and BCICAI to contribute to enhancing the sector, serving the financial community and coping with the rapidly-unfolding developments in the sector.Established in 1985, the Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI) has a membership of over 450, who are spread over industry, audit and consulting organisations in Bahrain.
