National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has discussed ways to enhance cooperation with Derek Chollet, Counselor of the US Department of State, during His Highness’ visit to the United States of America. Major General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing to strengthen its distinguished relations with the United States of America in light of the strong and solid relationship between the two countries.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance bilateral links in a way that contributes to achieving the desired goals and serving common interests. Both sides also addressed a number of issues of shared interest. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Assistant National Security Advisor, Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau (SSB), and Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.
